ALLTEL SELLS CELLULAR MARKET TO CINGULAR

Cingular Wireless, LLC has acquired the Arkansas 11 RSA from Alltel Communications, Inc., it was announced today.

The Arkansas 11 RSA covers Hempstead, Lafayette, Nevada and Columbia counties and represents 65,000 POPs.

Alltel sold the property to fulfill divestiture requirements ordered by the U.S. Department of Justice in connection with the company’s merger with Western Wireless.
