ALLTEL COMPLETES FIRST CELLULAR OF SOUTHERN ILLINOIS PURCHASE
Alltel today announced that it has completed its purchase of the stock of Southern Illinois Cellular Corp., dba First Cellular of Southern Illinois, a locally owned wireless provider based in Mt. Vernon, Ill.
First Cellular of Southern Illinois serves the IL-8 and IL-9 RSAs, which cover 485,000 POPs and major transportation corridors connecting population centers in St. Louis, Chicago, Indianapolis and Evansville, Ind., and Louisville, Ky.
Daniels represented Southern Illinois Cellular Corp. in the transaction.
