FIRST CELLULAR OF SOUTHERN ILLINOIS SELLS PARTNERSHIP INTERESTS

Southern Illinois Cellular Corp., dba First Cellular of Southern Illinois, announced today that it has sold its limited partner interests in the Illinois RSA 6 & 7 Partnership to Verizon Wireless and Alhambra-Grantfork Cellular Telephone Company.

The Illinois RSA 6 & 7 Partnership provides cellular service to the IL-6 and IL-7 Rural Service Areas, covering 433,400 POPs.
