RBC DANIELS LEADS IN 2007 CABLE, TELECOMMUNICATIONS,
BROADCAST AND INTERNET SERVICES TRANSACTIONS

DENVER – RBC Daniels announced its 2007 performance today, disclosing that it completed 83 transactions with an aggregate value of over $4 billion.   This included 63 mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance transactions as well as 20 financial advisory transactions for domestic and international clients in the cable, telecommunications, media and technology industries.

According to deal-tracker, Thomson Financial, RBC Daniels and RBC Capital Markets led in the number of announced mergers & acquisitions (M&A) involving North American cable, telecommunications, broadcast and Internet services companies in 2007.   Thomson ranked RBC Daniels and RBC Capital Markets number one with 46 announced M&A transactions for its North American clients in the cable television, wireless and wireline telecom, towers, broadcast and Internet services sectors.   They also ranked number one in the number of deals closed in these sectors for the years 2000 through 2007 with 373 deals.

The Thomson Financial ranking includes only a portion of RBC Daniels’ and RBC Capital Markets’ total 2007 deals. Specifically, it does not include M&A transactions in industries other than cable, telecom, broadcast and Internet services, nor does it include corporate finance, financial advisory, certain international or confidential transactions.
