RBC DANIELS COMPLETES 50 TRANSACTIONS FOR OVER $3.1 BILLION IN 2008;
RBC CAPITAL MARKETS NAMED MID-MARKET INVESTMENT BANK OF THE YEAR

DENVER – RBC Daniels, a division of RBC Capital Markets, announced its 2008 performance today, disclosing that it completed 50 transactions with an aggregate value of over $3.1 billion. This included 42 mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and corporate finance transactions as well as 8 financial advisory transactions for domestic and international clients in the cable, telecommunications, media and technology industries.

In addition, RBC Capital Markets received the honor of being named Mid-Market Bank of the Year by Investment Dealers’ Digest (IDD), citing the company’s emergence “as a formidable force in the US middle market” since 2002.

RBC Daniels and RBC Capital Markets continued their streak of leading in the number of M&A transactions in the core sectors of cable, telecommunications, broadcast and Internet services companies, according to deal-tracker, Thomson Reuters. Thomson ranked RBC Daniels and RBC Capital Markets number one in 2008 M&A transactions for North American clients in the cable television, wireless and wireline telecom, towers, broadcast and Internet services sectors with 26 announced deals. They also ranked number one in the number of deals closed in these sectors for the years 2000 through 2008 with 400 deals.
